It is the perfect location for easy access to many of downtown's “after party” hot spots. Rental of The Marbury Center includes the use of the main hall and courtyard. The Marbury Center was the original fire department headquarters built in the late 1890’s and was in service until the 1970’s. Careful renovations have kept the old charm of the original fire station while offering one of Augusta’s premier special event venues. The main hall boasts floor-to-ceiling windows that let plenty of natural light in. The hall's neutral colors will work well with your wedding palette and decor. The Marbury Center has a spacious outdoor courtyard overlooking two stables that were once used to house the horses when the engines were horse drawn. The courtyard is ideal for an alfresco pre-reception cocktail hour, or as the location for an outdoor dance floor. Located between 12th and 13th streets makes Marbury within short walking distance to popular downtown restaurants, bars, Riverwalk and hotel accommodations.
