Roaring River Vineyards is a rustic, outdoor wedding venue located in Traphill, North Carolina. This secluded winery is in the mountains, offering you and your guests gorgeous riverfront views. The Gathering Place at Roaring River Vineyard is a covered pavilion with retractable walls (with windows) that has a large stage, and a very large dance floor. The wedding ceremony takes place in the outdoor "cathedral" a beautiful lawn and tree-covered site. All event sites overlook the Roaring River and Stone Mountain as your backdrop. Roaring River Vineyards prides itself on its picturesque estate filled with tranquil ponds and brooks, elegant buildings, pristine landscaping, and a romantic stone entrance.
Facilities and Capacity
Couples can accommodate up to 150 guests at this private vineyard. They offer 5,000 square feet of riverfront property perfect for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. You can say your “I do’s” under a canopy of trees and a romantic pergola, and then sip cocktails on their covered porch, or large deck overlooking the Roaring River. For your reception, you can dance the night away on their Covered Pavilion. This unique space features a spacious dance floor, stage, and retractable walls in case of inclement weather.
Services Offered as The event venue site for your ceremony and reception, and on-site bridal suite. Wine and beer must be purchased from their winery, but you're allowed to bring in your own outside vendors for the other aspects of your wedding. Additional services include:

Roaring River Vineyards offers the happy couple the Serendipity cabin for the night of their celebration. This private cabin features one bedroom, one bath, an open floor plan with mountain decor, a fully equipped kitchenette, and a covered porch, complete with rocking chairs, a bistro table, and a deck that includes a BBQ grill. Your guests can stay in their Main Lodge and choose between their Aspen, Birch, or Cedar rooms. The Aspen and Birch suites on the first floor can sleep two adults each, white the Cedar rooms on the second and third floors can sleep up to eight adults.
All wedding packages require:
1. The use of a “Day of” coordinator (D.O.C). either a professional or an assigned friend or family member (see DOC requirement in the information file).
2. We will need a $250 deposit that will be refunded if the event venue is returned as it was found.
3. Our on-site Day-Of Wedding Coordinator fee is $750. To be paid at the time of booking.
4. All vacation rentals must be rented for the event (2 day-minimum) a month before the event by the family, bridal party, and/or friends. These units will be blocked until it is time to book usually five weeks before the event. The units can accommodate a total of 14 guests.
5. Vendors must submit a certificate of Liability Insurance that is required by our insurance company.
