Hyde Hall hosted its first wedding in 1834, and since then many couples have found its spectacular views and magnificent historical ambiance to be the perfect setting for their special day. In 2007, they celebrated the 100th Anniversary of Anne Hyde Clarke to Arthur Choate, in 1907 – the most lavish wedding ever held by the Clarke Family, a grand family from England who built and owned Hyde Hall for 150 years. It was this same Mrs. Choate who became the first driving force behind Hyde Hall’s restoration. Many fantastic parties have been held here throughout the years. The breath-taking vista of Otsego Lake from Hyde Hall’s veranda is the finest lake view anywhere in Cooperstown. Experience true grandeur in the countryside on Hyde Hall’s sweeping lawns that overlook the Lake – a perfect backdrop for your special event. English-style architectural elegance defines the 50-room limestone mansion, the only National Historic Landmark in Otsego County. Let them provide an ideal complement to your festive day and unparalleled photo opportunities at every angle.
