Beautifully situated in upstate New York on an expansive tract of greenery, Altamura Center for the Arts & Cultures brings an old-world elegance to the majestic and open landscape. Founded as a cultural and musical center by famed soprano Carmela Bucceri Altamura, the interior is reminiscent of a tasteful opera hall, complete with a grand piano, gold and cream accents, and a stage. Of course, it wouldn’t be an opera hall without a balcony, too. It’s a lovely space for those seeking an artistic flair. The exterior provides a contrastive venue, surrounded by rolling hills and trees whose leaves will turn vibrant fall colors. The building is all wood-planked, a modern, stylish cabin with balconies and a veranda. Host a large wedding and on the sprawling lawn, or an intimate ceremony on the veranda or in the concert hall. As for the reception, the interior would be suitable for a small but polished and refined affair, complete with candles and crystal. Larger receptions would do well outside, underneath a simple white tent or al fresco- the views are well worth it.
