Become instrumental in preserving the captivating history of the city of Superior and invite guests to travel back in time to the Gilded Age when you host your wedding celebration with Superior Public Museums. Share the start of your new life with family and friends in the elegant surroundings of Fairlawn Mansion. The Fairlawn Mansion is an authentically restored 1890 Victorian House Museum. The Queen Anne Victorian house boasts a stunning four-story turret complete with widow's watch overlooking Superior Bay. In the summer, gardens dot the mansion's expansive lawns with traditional flower varieties such as peony, rose, hydrangea, and lily. The lawn is a perfect location for a romantic outdoor ceremony. The fully restored first floor of the mansion features gilded murals on the ceilings, a grand entrance hall, an open staircase, marble fireplaces, and original stained glass windows. Choose the formal parlor for a small, intimate indoor ceremony. Or make your entrance down the Grand Staircase to the spacious landing and say "I Do," with guests watching from the main hallway with full view of the ceremony. A cocktail reception or formal seated dinner can be held in the beautifully restored formal rooms on the first floor of the mansion.
