Three venues are available for romantic country weddings. The biggest, most versatile, and best equipped historic building in the village is the Waterford Old School with its new auditorium, kitchen, atrium and roofed stone terrace. The Old School auditorium will accommodate 140 guests and is right across the street from the Catoctin Presbyterian Church. John Wesley Church is a lovely 1891 Greek revival church. It was built as a permanent home for the black congregation who had been meeting in the Second Street School, the John Wesley Methodist Church served the black community continuously from 1891 until 1968. The Church Sanctuary includes a double aisle with wooden pews. It can seat 125 with the potential space for 25 additional chairs. Below the sanctuary is the Fellowship Hall which can seat 125 theater style, or 75 seated at tables. For an outdoor wedding, Bond Street Green is perfect, being just across from the John Wesley Methodist Church. The green is sloped with one side looked over by historic homes for a charming, storybook wedding celebration.
