Originally constructed in the late 19th century by a successful German brewer, the Heurich House Museum has been the backdrop for a number of weddings since it was first built. In a sense, weddings are long-standing a tradition at this historic mansion. Located only one block from Dupont Circle, the museum offers a beautifully intimate venue for your wedding day. The luminous Conservatory’s wide windows and finely crafted vine chandelier provides a lovely backdrop for an indoor ceremony. The urban Castle Garden -- with its flourishing flower beds, quaint brick pathways, and mature trees -- is a picture perfect setting for exchanging your vows outside. Throughout your big day, guests have full reign to explore the museum’s first floor and discover everything that its beautifully decorated spaces have to offer. Couples may also host intimate dinners featuring the Heurich’s original 1901 Steinway piano and an antique, hand-carved oak dining table for a modest preservation fee.
